Responsibilities and Capabilities:
1. Conceptualize, plan, design, and execute graphic art design
and production of corporate multimedia and print communications, achieving
an acceptable level of design quality governed by corporate identity standards,
on schedule, and within budget.
2. Consult with clients and senior designers to discuss and
develop communication pieces that meet their goals for style, message, audience
appropriateness, and functionality in the most cost-effective manner.
3. Manage projects assigned by Senior Designer and Strategist,
ensuring that needed information is identified, meetings are scheduled, resources
are gathered, facts are accurate, clients are apprised of the status of their
requests, and deadlines are met. Maintain focus and intent of both program
and client.
4. Attend creative meetings to help develop strategy and
propose solutions that meet and surpass client needs. Ensure product quality
from rough idea to final production.
5. Actively participated in the creative development of the
corporate web site graphics and multimedia projects when assigned.
6. Ensure clients are kept apprised of the status of their
requests and that deadlines are met.
7. Provide technical advice to print/media coordinator for
press checks, photo shoots, pre-press services, display services, and all
outside design production services.
8. Provide creative briefs to client to ensure agreement
on design strategy. Work closely with writers to assure the highest quality
products.
9. Maintain current knowledge of electronic design for the
programs, color scanning/theory, production techniques and trends as well
as direct response marketing, and identity building.
10. Assure that all electronic files transferred to print
and other media vendors are complete including production values appropriate
the method of reproduction and that complete documentation is included for
client approvals color comps, working dummies and paperwork describing the
specifications for the project.
Knowledge,
Skills, and abilities:
I have two degrees in the field of design and I possess experience in graphic
design using high-end computer system and software. I have a high working
knowledge of photography, typography and graphics. I understand and am able
to apply current marketing trends, advertising, promotion, and graphic arts.
I have experience with current paper technologies and availabilities. I able
to work, and I am highly innovative and creative under deadline pressure.
I have technical skills in use of Macintosh and/or DOS-based computer systems,
including desktop publishing, multimedia, and web authoring. I also have experience
with current pre-press technologies and color theory.
