Teachers College Reading & Writing Project
The Teachers College Reading and Writing Project is a research and staff development organization housed at Teachers College Columbia University. The teacher-educators who staff the Project are involved in long-lasting collaborations with teachers across New York City, in communities surrounding the metropolitan area, and across the United States. The goal of the Project is to support expert literacy instruction within our schools through research, writing and professional development of teachers and school leaders.

Making Books Sing theater residency
In 1996, Making Books Sing was launched as the family theatre and arts
education program of New York City's Vineyard Theatre, one of Off
Broadway's most accomplished theatres.
Making Books Sing's staff has combined experience of more than
90 years in theatre and education. They are committed to bringing
high-quality productions and pedagogically sound educational programs
to New York's young people, teachers and families.

VH1 Music Grant (violins)
The VH1 Save The Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to
improving the quality of education in America’s public schools by restoring music
programs in cities across the country, and raising public awareness about the
importance of music participation for our nation’s youth.

Oh, the places you will go while using interactive videoconferencing! Students and teachers can see and hear each other simultaneously whether across the state or around the world. The technology is ideal for virtual fieldtrips, meetings, collaborations and community events.
